"Oh... you know I don't care too much about respect towards other guards if it isn't Edwin. I do hope he's a fast learner." She giggled softly, then brushed some of his shoulder off for him. If they thought she was bad when Edwin was around.. her little running away schemes were nothing... They will be worse... she'd show her father to send her guard away... Her brother probably had something to do with it. "Did you make father send Edwin onto that mission, Lucas?" She asked, her voice soft with enough curiosity it had masked the anger. In the entrance hall, a trembling fairy stood, gripping papers tightly in her hands. Her long black hair hung loose around her small frame; bits of ivy and other foliage was tangled in her hair. Thin wings lightly beat on her back as her wide black eyes darted around the hall. She didn't mind the other continents, but Forelock... she hated... but who didn't? She jumped at the sound of a door being slammed open. She was waiting for the king to be done talking to Nexus... She shivered at that thought- she had just gotten away from him, and yet, here she was... under the same castle as him... this time, however would only be for a short time... He had always frightened her... But so many things had frightened her to begin with... Like the Princes and Princesses of Forelock... They weren't all bad- like the ones that decided to go around and travel... It was the other ones... Ariesti and especially Lucas... How could her Queen, someone so festive, enjoy the company of him. She shook her head and gripped the papers tighter.

Lucas's eyes met Ari's as he spoke, "I had nothing to do with anything, this was fathers choice, and his choice alone, foolish child you know I never have the power to make my father act such this way. He's the lord of all the dark arts he'd blow my head up" He stated as he walked down the staircase, into the hall to find his father now talking to Nexus in the main hall. Nexus was an attractive man, tall, but attractive. He was dark and he had an evil aura around him, its what usually happened to people who've lived most their lives in Treset, there's always something weird and off setting about them. Nexus looked at the princess, his lips still moving as the Lord of Forelock still spoke to him. The King nodded and turned to look to his daughter and son, and a fairy who eagerly tried to hand him papers. He looked at them with a proud smile.
"Well if it isn't my lovely daughter Ari, and brave son Lucas, this is Nexus the Treset Queen's son"
Nexus nodded as he continued on to Ari, bowing onto a single knee and held the princess's hand firmly within his, and kissed it. His dark eyes bore into hers as he stood up still holding her hand firmly. He looked at the King who smiled at the two, this was it. The king had intentions, and from the glow in his eyes it was easily read, he looked at his daughter and parted his lips apart to speak yet another time.
"Ari this will be the man, you'll be marrying, I need stronger ties with Treset and the Queen as sent her son"

Ariesti looked at Lucas as they walked down, then looked at Nexus as they confronted them. She gently sucked on her teeth as their father did the introductions. She ignored Nexus taking a knee and kissing her hand, took her hand back and straightened up. Ari looked around and saw the fairy was being ignored, she completely ignored the introduction. By the time she reached the fairy and ripped the papers from her hands. "You may go, messenger." She stated, then paused when the word 'marrying' reached her ears. She stood straight up and tensed. The room began to turn darker and shadows began to retreat from her. She gave a forced, nervous laugh as she turned and looked at her father, "Father..." She giggled and looked him in the eyes, "You know I have no intentions of getting married... and you know I won't stand to be a tool for your plans. I'm sure... your son would be a better candidate for that." She icily, yet sweetly, told him. Her eyes once more skimmed over Nexus. "Have stronger ties through your son..." She bluntly stated, turned and walked back to the stairs as she read over the letter. She paused, stopped a servant and held the letter out. "Place this in the king's hands immediately." She directed, turned and continued back to her room as the servant rushed back down to the King.
Ariesti sat in her room and stared out the window. "Sully... this is the time I need you..." She sighed heavily and leaned into the window frame. "Even Sulos would be nice to see..." She suddenly straightened up and a grin formed on her lips. Tonight... would be a great night.
Softly, she walked out of her room and stood at the top of the stairs; she could still hear them in the hall. Slowly, she walked down; her hand was equipped with her metal fan. She used it as a fan and waved it to create a breeze for her. It was strong enough to shift the strands of her hair around. She was no longer in a gown, but in her "traveling" outfit- it showed off her slight curves much better than her gown. "Does anyone know there whereabouts of Sully?" She asked, a fresh, light, friendly smile on her lips. She stood beside Lucas and Nexus, then cased a brief glance to Nexus with a small giggle. She held the fan up to her face, covering her mouth and nose; only her eyes able to be seen by everyone present. "Did that servant deliver you that letter?" She asked softly, then looked at Nexus, "The Halloween Queen is throwing a Masquerade in 4 days* time... and she specifically requested that Lucas be sent early to... perhaps help her set-up... She needs a... strong man to help since her precious son is here to be my guard." She explained, her eyes always shifting from the King, to Nexus, to Lucas, then back to the King.

"Perhaps my future bride would enjoy the travel"
Insisted Nexus who's eyes examined her. He memorized every inch of her, and soon words began to fill her thoughts as he kept his eyes on her. Words almost alluring, and seducing. His words were calm, evil in a sense but calm. It would make almost any woman fall pray for its lustrous sound. 'Look at me' it said, 'look into the man who will make it a promise that your life here will be full of adventures, I would never allow you to be captured behind these castle walls for ever--' "Nexus I don't think that would be so wise for my daughter, she is very hard to control that one, alot of adventure within her bones, she must take it from her mother" The King looked at his princess, and Nexus's eyes looked annoyed from his transmitted message being cut short. Nexus nodded, but would refuse such a statement coming out of the greatest lord of Forelock. He swallowed hard holding back any sense of come back to his statement and replaced his words just as quickly.
"I am promised to bring her to meet my mother, it was the agreement your highness, but she wanted to meet the woman who's kingdom she will be ruling."
The king carried an annoyed expression but he would not allow his deal to be broken. He looked at Ari and sighed as his young hands grazed her fleshed cheek and he looked at Lucas moving his hand away as he replied to Nexus his eyes still connected with Lucas's.
"That is fine, I'll allow it, as long as it means my son Lucas may following, perhaps this way..." His eyes returned to Ari's as he continued his words. "...You'll meet Sulliena in your small adventure, if you do go I will prefer you to follow Nexus and your brother, this is for the best but it is an adventure, I feel a sense of discomfort sending you off, you know so little of the world."

She didn't like it one bit. His shadow mingling with her's just didn't feel right... it wasn't like Edwin's mingling with her's. Oh yes, she'd follow Nexus and Lucas... but only for a short amount... and she knew the kingdom better than what her father gave her credit for. "Of course, father... I'll follow my dear brother and the Prince of Halloween." She assured. Ariesti straightened up, "Father, when is Sir Edwin going to come back? He left me on a rather upsetting note, and I wish to bid him farewell before his journey is officially started." She calmly stated, but anyone who spoke and were around her long enough knew that tone was demanding. And hard to control was an understatement. "I'd also like to tell him of the news of the masquerade..." She added on, then folded her hands neatly behind her back and stood in front of her father. "Mother would allow me to do all these things, I don't think you should disregard her wishes, father." She stated sweetly; she always used her mother as the tool to get her father to do as she wanted. Ari carefully, innocently even, batted her eyelashes at her father. "Please father?" She innocently begged and slowly leaned in towards him, then wrapped her arms around him. Once his shadows was mingling with hers, she allowed it to take the form and feel of her mother. Slowly, she looked up at him as her head laid on his chest. "And there's no need to feel any discomfort... I'll be safe with these two strong, buff men at my sides." She winked and giggled softly, then lightly nuzzled into his chest.

Nexus looked at the girl, he didn't like her behaviour not one bit. He knew there was more than met the eye with this girl but he paid no mind as she laid on her father's chest and begged. He hated whiny children but he would hold this thought back as he kept his eyes in disgust on the child who pleaded to see Edwin, Edwin unfortunately, was set to Treset. Nexus knew so, for he was the man that had sent him there in aid of his mother, and her court. He neared the two as his words began to sink into the skin, like creepy crawly's though his voice persuasive to the core, was creepy in a way. Almost a chill could be seen trailing down Lucas's arm, and it took much to creep out the elder brother.
"Edwin is on Treset, the king agreed to send him there to help my mother protect the kingdom"
Lucas's eyes shifted to Nexus as he expressed his annoyance to the boy, he didn't really like him. Lucas didn't like many people and those few people which he detested so much was the Halloween Queen's son. Nexus, though Lucas was prince of darkness, Nexus to him was the darkest part of Cyllaron, he hid so many secrets under that serious shield that was his face. All under a well held smile, a smile that brought so many horrific thoughts into mind. Lucas bowed to his father as he bid them farewell for the time being and marched on into his bedroom.
"Edwin is by the stables child, if you wish to see him, he is there, don't you get any crazy ideas" The King stated as he pushed his daughter off of him, he looked so much like Ari, though she carried her mother's personality strongly. How she reminded him so much of his deceased wife. The girl was good at playing mind games he had to admit. He brushed a finger against her face as he removed a strand of hair away from her eyes and smiled, "You remind me so much of your mother, now hurry they'll be leaving soon, you'll get to travel with him."

"I am merely curious as to why you had someone from my to-be kingdom aiding your mother's kingdom. Have you all worn out your population that you must seek our aid?" Ariesti asked accusingly. "I can assure you... if I do not get my guard back, I will raise hell upon you all." She promised as she stood up straighter after her father brushed her face. "I will be able to travel with Edwin to Treset?" She happily reassured. Without awaiting a second answer, she turned and rushed out of the hall.
She was equipped with her weapons and her cloak was securely aorund her frame. Eagerly, she rushed to the stables and looked around; she hoped she moved on fast enough to leave her father and Nexus to speak. "Edwin?" She called out softly, then glanced around. Lightly, she bit her lip and continued to search, then smiled in relief when she found him. "Edwin!" She laughed softly and stood behind him. "I'm so happy I caught you in time. Father has granted me to travel with you to Treset!" She giggled and gripped his armored-forearm lightly. "The Halloween-Queen is throwing a masquerade... I'm sure father will be there and would dance something with her... that is if Lucas allows it... but, if you're going to be there... I wish for you to find me and show me how to dance like those you use to tell me about." She stated hopefully. Suddenly, all her smiles and happiness left her, and her hands lightly tightened their grip on his arm. "They want me to marry him, Edwin..." She sadly told him. "But I won't... I refuse to... I don't like him, at all... I plan on looking for Sulos when I'm in Treset..." She suddenly buried her face in his chest and wrapped her arms around him in an embrace, "I don't want anyone..." She stated, but didn't finish her sentence except for in her mind, 'but you'.

Edwin was caught off guard, with a sudden surprise attack from behind there she was hung around his hip like the child she once was. He looked at her, and pushed her back as her words hung within his mind, however, this he knew would inflict anger upon the king, the kind he loved so much, and respected like a father. He looked at her his dark hazel nut eyes dug into hers for a moment until he spoke in response. "Princess its not wise to abuse your fathers trust like that, I don't approve of the wedding either, but perhaps in a later time, you can convince your father other wise" He did like the idea one bit, he found himself angry at the thought as he looked at the princess grazing his hand against her face, as he spoke once more, "On the bright side we get to do a little adventure together"

Ariesti let her eyes look over Edwin as a grin formed on her lips as he pointed out the 'bright side'. "Can I please ride with you? Or at least beside you or something?" She requested, her eyes bright. "There's no way I'd feel comfortable being near Nexus and Lucas at the same time. He gives me the creeps... I don't see how Lucas likes the Queen... well.. ok, she's nice but her son... There's something about him I don't like..." She muttered softly to him. "And it's not abusing his trust, Edwin. It's how I feel and I won't marry him, at all... ever... and I will convince him otherwise. That's a promise." She stated heavily. "When do we leave for Treset?"

He held onto her, his hands well connected with her shoulders as he looked into her eyes they were so deep and magical, for a moment he had almost forgot that he was on a mission. That he had to saddle these horses and get himself ready for a ride to the ship in which he was getting ready to embark which would lead him to Treset, he smiled at first, his heart racing as his eyes never yet parted from hers, and soon the man had responded. His voice was calm as he leaned closer bringing the girl into a warm embrace, if it was his choice he would never let her go. But he knew it was to good to be true he let her go, and with that he looked at her once again and responded.
"I'd love you to follow, but I fear that you won't be left from the other two, I am to protect them on their journey, Nexus was to stay here with you, Lucas was to come with me, but now that you are all coming, I am here to remain as your protector"
He fell to a single knee as he bowed to the princess before him, he breathed. As his sword was drawn and stabbed into the ground, his head resting against it, as his words swore eternal loyalty not only to the family but to her in particular.
"I am here for you, and my loyalty is eternally granted to not only to the court, but to you my princess, my queen"

Ariesti looked down at him, a little bit of shock upon her eyes. Her face had dropped all evidence of smiling; she had turn quite serious. "S-sir Edwin." She stuttered, then cleared her throat, "Sir Edwin, please rise. There... there's not need for this." She softly expressed, a little bit of tears coming to her eyes. She hated the fact she was due to become Queen. "You know I don't like it when you call me Queen, Edwin." She frowned slightly, then knelt down in front of him. She gently placed her hands over his on the hilt of his sword. "I never want to be anything more than a 'princess' to you, if I must have a title... because that's all you've known me as..." She softly told him, then looked right into his eyes. "You're more than just a guard to me... more than a guardian. You're my best friend, my mentor, my..." She sighed heavily and shook her head, then recovered quickly, "My secret-bearer, my trust..." She stood back up. "Need help with the horses?" She asked softly.

"My secret-bearer, my trust...Need help with the horses?" Edwin followed Ariesti as she stood up as he listened to her words carefully, he felt goosebumps crawling his flesh as he looked at her. He smiled at her as she offered to help him. He wouldn't say no, not to that pretty face he brushed a hand gently across it and nodded and looked at his horse. It was a dark horse, eyes were yellow, and bright, as a pair of dark bat wings folded back as it batted its hooves on the ground. It looked at her shaking its head as its white straight hair fell elegantly back into place. This horse was Edwin's horse, his baby. He brushed its face as he looked at her. He smiled.
"Tend to Sindhi Fae" He had ordered as he looked at the horse who allowed him to pet its nose, Sindhi Fae meant dark Faerie in a lost language, and unlike most of these horses Sindi was the only horse whom had wings, and only trusted Edwin and Ari within the kingdom. She had gotten use to her presence. She had been apart of the family for many years, unlike the other horses within the stables. It moved its head away from Edwin as she bowed to Ari, like any other servant and guard within the castle, Sindhi bowed like the rest of them. It reflected her respect to the princess, and only did that to Ari's presence. It raised its body as it neared the princess laying its head onto her shoulder as she awaited for the attention that would come from her shortly.
"I'll gather Sindhi Fae's bags ready for the trip"

Ari looked at Sindhi Fae as she walked over. "You know you don't have to do that, Sindhi Fae... and you also know, like your master, that I don't like it when my friends bow to me." She gently, but playfully, chided. Ariesti reached out and gently scratched behind her ear, down to her nose. "You really are the true beauty of the lands." Ari whispered to her with a small giggle. She turned just slightly to watch Edwin carefully gather the horse's bags. "Edwin?" She called softly as she kept stroking Fae's nose. 'Just ask him, ask him to dance at the masquerade.' She chided herself, then shook her head. "What... do you think about The Treset Prince coming here? Do you think someone is planning something more and therefore pushing a marriage?"

"I think he's a great man Ari" He stated as he kept packing the bags, the horse continuously nudged into her, wanting to be pet. Edwin knew he hated the thought of Nexus, but what was he suppose to say, the man was a prince. The king supported this more than life itself who was he to judge the man was able to give her anything she wanted. Not like him, he was a knight, a knight of forelock who's purpose was to serve the princess and the king. Part of him disliked this life. But he didn't have that power to decide. He continued,
"He's handsome, wealthy, can give you anything you want, and one of the strongest supporting branches to your father's kingdom. He's perfect for you Ari"

Ariesti kept caressing and petting the tamed beast. She allowed his words to sink in as she continued to watch his movements. "I can't read his shadow... and he's practically old enough to be my great, great, add in many MANY more great grandfather. He's probably as old as my father...! That, to me, is completely wrong! I need to... if I ever wanted to this is.. marry someone that is closer to my age. He may be... handsome, wealthy and such... but that doesn't matter much to me! I want someone that can handle me for who I am... not for someone that wants to bring forth darkness and sorrow like someone from Treset." She declared, then buried her face into Fae's neck and mane. Her slender fingers twisted and curled the horse's hair around. She stayed in that position for many moments, keeping herself calm; taking in Fae's sweet scent of the stables. They didn't reek like everything else. "I want to go back to the forest..." She snapped, but remained unmoved. "I want someone who'll show me emotions, and not hide behind an emotionless mask!" She vented more. "I want..." She fell quiet... 'you'. Her tongue and lips had wanted to get out. But... she couldn't. "... who I want." She concluded very softly; unsure if he even heard her as she had mumbled it into Sindhi Fae's neck.
