"Don't worry my dear, come to the kingdom, and we can shop"
The man smiled as he looked at her and combed his hand through his silky dark brown strands, they fell gently on his shoulders as he pressed his tongue against the roof of his mouth, and clicked it. A horses nay broke pass the trees and a brown horse was seen galloping his way towards them. It was his horse, and he had brought Ari into numerous rides on it. He grabbed it by the mouth piece and brought it closer placing his hand on its nose. He stroked it as he looked at the princess for a little bit longer.
"Well shall we get going to the kingdom?"

Ariesti looked at Edwin and sighed heavily. She gave a sad, slow nod and walked over to the horse. "I don't need to go shopping though... so that would be pointless.. and you know my father wouldn't allow me to walk around the market." She stated disgustedly. Once more, she looked at the horse, then to Edwin. "Let's get going then..." She stood in front of him, then went to the horse and mounted it.

He mounted it shortly after her and guided the beast towards the castle. He leaned closer as he spoke into her ear. "Hold on." He knew she loved to ride fast, and he did so, riding his horse. it was a matter of time before they arrived to the castle, but in the end they did. They didn't explore the market, even though it was one of her many only chances to walk along the kingdom. She didn't do it much but he tried to make the best of it. Once arrived they dismounted the horse, and looked at each other for split moment. He smiled and began to shoo her away.
"I think its time for you to head back into your room, at least before the king finds out where you've been hiding. I'll see you shortly."

Ariesti had grinned when he told her to hold on. She had gripped the saddle horn tightly. The whole ride back to the castle, a small grin was placed upon her lips. Unconsciously, she had noticed her was leaning back against him, into his armored chest. As they neared the market, she sat up and looked around, watching from under cloak. No one would know who she is. She lowered her eyes to stare at the horse's flowing mane as he galloped.
After he helped her dismount the horse, she looked at him, and just as quickly looked away. "I suppose so... and I'll see you soon." She replied back, turned and started up to the tall, dark castle. Once she reached the door, she turned and looked back at Edwin. After a few moments, she turned and headed inside.
Silent. That's how she snuck out, and that's how she snuck back in. Ariesti hugged the wall as she walked up the stairs to head up to her room. She managed to avoid all servants and other occupants to the castle on her way up. "Please don't be there..." She murmured softly as she reached her room. Her eyes darted around the hallway, and she darted into her room. Silently, but swiftly, she shut the door and let her forehead rest upon the old wood as she let out a soft sigh.

Edwin only sighed as he watched her leave, it was only a matter of time before he was called to the thrown room and was granted his long awaited journey. The conversation with the king was rather short, and though this was a trip, he knew that unlike the others it was more of a suicide mission. He shook his head as he headed for the princess room, he gently opened it only to find her...

Ariesti looked away from the window and looked at the door as it opened. A small smile tugged on her lips. Gracefully, she walked over to him and brushed hair back behind her ear. "Well... I see no harm has come to you; that makes me happy and relaxed." She explained and walked back to the window. "Shut the door, please." She requested and smiled once more.

He did as she asked, hearing a silent click as he slowly shut the barred door. He looked at her but did not smile. He neared her as he began to look out of the same window, and released words as they filled the air. "I fear I must tell you something, princess" He stated as he looked at her, once more. Watching as her long black hair captured the light of the room, she looked so beautiful.

It was an interesting feeling she had always noticed when his shadows mingled in with hers. She swallowed hard, letting the silence mingle in the air. "You have to go... don't you?" She whispered, not removing her eyes from the window. It was a gorgeous view, to her of course, of the forest. She closed her eyes, bowed her head, then opened her eyes once more. She stared at the land in front of the castle, the barrenness before the forest and slowly blinked as her hair fell in front of her face. She kept her hair in front of her as a curtain, then easily flipped her hair over her shoulder with a turn of her head. Her dark eyes stared up into his, sorrow deep in them.

He wouldn't lie, this was what he had originally meant to tell her, and perhaps he was being to obvious. This time however, he doubted his return, he couldn't allow her to know this. Not this time, he looked at her, though he had never full out declared it to her face, this man longed love her sense she had grown, he watched her grow into a lovely woman, and now this woman stood in front of a window as though seeking the stars, stars that never showed their face in Forelock long sense her father came into power. He couldn't change this moment for the world, though his feelings were his own, he would never dare ask this angel of Forelock to feel the same. Princesses are not meant to be with lower class fools like him. He trembled slightly, but not enough to make it noticeable. He kept his eyes into hers, until finally he gabbed the curve of her face, his bare hand grazing her flesh, as for eyes deeply dug its way into hers, getting lost within her eyes like a wormhole constantly dragging her in, his eyes remained on hers for a while, as he brushed his hand away, turning around, facing his back to the princess. Any longer, he would have lost himself completely, this kingdom was his life, he would never disgrace it not once. His journey would lead him to his death, but the thought of it he could not bare. He made himself believable, with a hard swallow the knight spoke.
"I'm going on a journey, young one. I'll be back, its a minor mission your father as ordered us to follow"
Minor? It certainly wasn't. This was a suicide mission, specifically assigned for him. Someone in the kingdom was leaking information, however, as to whom was still a mystery. But he wouldn't judge. The fact was the king was sending him off to his death, and he couldn't do anything against it. The Kings word was law, and he had ordered him this mission. He kept his head high, looking to the rooms ceiling, as he swallowed hard yet again. He found it hard to lie, especially to her, the woman he loved, and made his life all around her. She had grown so much sense those days. He slowly trailed the chain that circled his neck, a amulet, a gift he had sense he could remember, with a white dragon. Though he knew little of where it came from it was the only thing that ever made him into the person he was today. He turned to look to the princess again and took it off. The chained amulet was placed gently into her opened hand, as he closed it firmly. It was the only real gift he's ever given her, the only memory she'd have of him. Now it was her to do as she wished.
"I'll come back, so make sure you keep it safe alright?"
He smiled, as he brushed her face one final time, and finally he faced his back away and left the room. Down the hall was another man whom looked at him, arms crossed over each other, anger bore on his face as he watched him leave. Edwin bowed as he walked by them the man only watching him, until he left. He shook his head and headed for the princesses room, knocking the door lightly.

Ariesti's jaw clenched tightly as he had handed her the amulet. he never took it off; no matter what. She watched him leave the room, her shadow and his still mingling until he shut the door. She clenched her fingers around the amulet, tears briefly coming to her eyes. In hearing the knock, she quickly put the amulet on, then slipped the dragon down into her gown; the chain and dragon hidden securely. Just as quickly as they came, she wiped her eyes, turned back to the window and stared out; ignoring the knocking that kept rapping on the door. By the way the person was knocking, she could tell it wasn't Edwin... He would just knock and walk in... that only meant it was someone else... Ariesti's eyes narrowed as she whipped around. First her sister left her, now her father is sending out her lo-- guardian and only friend? This meant a minor civil war between her father and herself... Oh yes, and what a better way... than through him? The room seemed to darken as the shadows grew darker. With a huff, she stormed to the door and ripped it open. "What the bloody hell do you want?" She hissed out between a clenched jaw. her lips were set in a firm, tight line as she glared at her older brother. In her peripheral vision, she took note that his shadow stayed in it's rightful place... she'd have to draw it over and have to get him that way... his shadow actually seemed to have a mind of its own.

Indeed it had a mind of its own, not only was the figures behind him were hard to control but like her, her controlled shadows. Due to same blood relations they both had the same ability. This man was her brother, Lucas, slightly older than her and always well prepared especially in this case. Lucas looked at the princess for a moment as she raged, and ignored what she had to say. Yes he knew Edwin left but to him it was for a good reason. The man was a nuissance here, and was leading the princess astray, perhaps this way she would be aware that there was a new guard assigned to her. But not like the original guard she would have hoped for. He came to her baring such news.
"Sister, a man from Treset as desired to come and protect you, his name is Nexus, and I find him to be much suitable than that bastard child of Azriel your so fond of."

Her eyes turned to ice. "That bastard child is the only one worth my time to protect me... and that's slightly funny coming from you, the only one with the curse from an easily avoidable gypsy..." She scoffed and shook her head, "Send the man from Treset home, I'm sure... the queen could use him more than I. I'm surprised, brother... She hasn't invited you to any masquerades lately?" She taunted. "I'm sure that she would love a... 'mighty' prince, like yourself, to be by her side in a grievance period such as this? Is it not the anniversary of her parents deaths?" Ariesti stepped closer to her brother, then went up on her tip-toes and placed her mouth to his ear, "I'm sure she could use some stress relief." She giggled and stepped back. Suddenly, she grinned and stepped back. "Actually... send in this... Nexus. I want to read him." She stated and stood tall. He should know what 'read' means, she could know him just by reading his shadow.

"He's chatting with father down the hall, he's not like the others Ariesti so I don't recommend any of your trickery, if you care to meet him go to father's court room, they'll be there, perhaps you can talk to father while your at it"
With that said the shadows he held back, mingled with hers. Lucas was annoyed by her behaviour, he growled as the princesses behaviour caused him to feel as though her immaturity needed to vanish. No heir of Forelock needed to be a selfish brat like her. Yes, Lucas was a cursed prince. A werewolf to be more exact, most would claim it to be a curse, however, to him it was a blessing it granted him the power and strength that no average man or woman would ever have. His hand clenched the door way and nails burrowed into the wooden that shaped the door. He was angered, and by the way the shadows danced, and the way he carried himself expressed his displeasure.
"The Queen is of no concern to me, she is only a help to our court and by me keeping connections to her allows the best for my home. Wether she desires my company at the moment means little to me as that bastard knight you love so dearly"
With this said the man left his footsteps echoing down the corridor, as they echoed louder walking down the staircase. His nails sharp as claws leaving a mark on her door frame.

Ariesti looked at the door frame and her lips curled up into a snarl. She marched out into the hallway and watched her brother walk down the hall, then hurried up and slammed her heel into his shadow. "You only keep her in connection because of your attraction to her." She hissed. Her eyes bore into the back of his head as he walked and stood in back of him. "Just remember, you may be stronger than me... but my shadows and ability is stronger than yours... You seem fond of this man... I want you to introduce me to the guard. Otherwise... I will keep to my... 'trickery'." She stated simply enough. Ari moved and stood next to him and stood tall. "And who I love... is none of your concern." She hissed out briefly, then walked back him toward the King's Hall.

The sudden step in his shadow caused him to be pulled back and fall on his rear, in a hard thud he found himself on his rear. He looked up as his eyes bore into hers. He shook his head as he looked at her for a matter of seconds he actually found himself contemplating wether or not he wanted to rip her own shadow out of position. Unfortunately, he stopped himself from down so. He stood dusting himself off as he did so, and replied:
"It best be wise not to, he's a well respected man, and I'd be glad enough to show you this guard. I keep this connection for father, this attraction as nothing to do with its reasoning"
